How does it work to save me time and money:

Some people who are not familiar with the product may say it is just "lightly soapy water" are actually missing the point of what it doesn't have in it, rather than what it does.

When you look at the formulation for CRC WattsUp, it is a highly concentrated, water-miscible liquid (designed to be diluted heavily at 1:30). If you just look at the raw chemistry, it essentially behaves like a specialized, neutral-pH surfactant blend. So in a very reductive sense, yes—it acts like a mild soap.

The real value of the formula isn't that it's a "heavy-duty blaster," but rather how it balances chemistry to protect the solar array while ensuring a completely spot-free finish:

1. The Anti-Static Chemical Boundary Layer

This is the main property that separates it from standard dish soap or window cleaner. The surfactant blend leaves behind an invisible, ultra-thin anti-static film on the glass.

• Standard soaps leave a sticky microscopic residue that acts like a magnet for airborne dust, pollen, and salt spray, making the panels dirty faster after you clean them.
