Note: Unlike all other Lead Carbon batteries available in the market today this is the ONLY High Power Lead carbon series battery that can run happily with 14.4-14.7v standard GEL / AGM charge profile settings, all others need either 13.8v or 14.0-14.1v which means they cannot run in parallel with a std AGM / GEL battery and in turn a charger must specifically be able to cut off at the correct voltage to avoid over-charging a normal lead carbon battery.  This battery is different in comparison as it gives the High Power Lead Carbon advantages without any special charge voltage requirements (just use a normal sealed AGM / GEL profile setting), as such this battery is also better suited to alternator charging than normal lead carbon batteries also.

The real magic with this series battery is that you can even run it in parallel with an existing AGM / GEL battery which you can't do with any other lead carbon batteries so it allows easy expansion if you already have an existing AGM / GEL battery and want to add on a lead carbon battery to your existing system (eg if you are on a 12v battery set already).

Some Facts to consider when comparing our HP Lead Carbon Batteries vs Lithium / LiFePo4 battery options:
Our HP Lead Carbon Batteries are Superior in most cases to running a 12v or 24v LiFePo4 / Lithium battery setup and we'll explain why / how.  A typical 12v 100Ah LiFePo4 battery is usually rated to only charge at 10-20Amp Constant current, yet this battery can charge at upto 30Amp current rating (twice as fast as many standard 12v 100Ah LiFePo4 batterys).  The same goes for discharge ratings also, this lead carbon battery can easily handle a solid 100Amp discharge (constant) without issues and peaks of even 150Amp without issues for short times, yet a standard 12v LifePo4 battery is usually rated at 50Amp constant discharge rate.  This means a standard 12v 100Ah LiFePo4 battery would only deliver 600w constant output power which is quite low, compared with this battery which can deliver 1200w constant output power (twice as much in comparison).  What this means in reality is that if you put 2 x 12v 100Ah Lithium batteries together to give 12v 200Ah then you still could not boil a 2200w kettle / electric jug, yet using 2 of these pure lead carbon batteries together you could easily boil a 2200w electric kettle / jug without issues and you'd charge the batteries back up in HALF the time of the Lithium / LiFepo4 battery set.

Many people wrongly think that Lithium based batteries are the holy grail of solar storage batteries, but what they don't realize is that most economical / budget lithium packs (without real time active cell balancing) only in turn have passive cell balancing and that means most of those lithium packs are usually only good for 1500 cycles which is actually LESS cycles than these lead carbon batteries will deliver, and yet the lead carbon offers greater capacity, faster charging, higher discharge currents and inn many cases longer total life / more cycles and less issues, while still being at a lower purchase price compared with lithium options.  There is a specific time & place for lithium options but for a 12-24v system the lead carbon options beat the lithium options hands down every time due to these items mentioned above, the only exception would be if you need a super light weight battery (due to weight restrictions) and you only need a very low / small level of discharge current capacity, eg never exceeding 12v 50Amps Discharge and if you don't mind paying the higher price for the lithium in comparison.

Depth of Discharge (DOD) cycle count for this HP Lead Carbon SuperCapacitor (LCS) battery:

1200+ cycles at 70% Discharge capacity

1600+ cycles at 50% Discharge capacity
2400+ cycles at 30% Discharge capacity

What makes this battery so advanced & much better than typical deep cycle batteries available?

Most "Deep Cycle" batteries are rated to be used between 20-50% DOD (Depth of Discharge) & if you run the battery does to 100% DOD (eg fully flat) then the battery will soon fail.
With a normal deep cycle battery they will usually give 500 cycles at 50% DOD & 900 cycles at 30% DOD.

This latest technology battery is different in that it will give 1600 cycles at 50% DOD and 2400+ cycles at 30% DOD.

This battery is also far superior to a 12v 100Ah Lead Crystal / Solar Lead Crystal battery, and as such can charge with a much LOWER charge current (even as low as just 2Amps charge current) and yet can charge up to full charge in a faster time + offers MORE charge cycles + lower internal resistance also.

Perfect for applications where our 6v 300Ah Lead Carbon batteries are too large / too heavy and a more energy dense solution (in a smaller footprint and with less weight) is required.

A deep cycle Lead Acid, AGM or GEL battery (in fact even your average car, truck, fork lift or solar battery) all end up failing due to sulphation. This is not possible to avoiding with traditional lead acid batteries (even sealed ones), instead our latest battery uses a lead positive plate and a carbon nano-style negative plate that does NOT suffer from the same sulphation problems that existing batteries suffer from.

A normal battery has a typical rated design life of up to around 3-5 years, however this battery has a rated max design life of up to 20 years, so typically this battery will last you around 200-300% more cycles than typical existing deep cycle lead acid, flooded, agm or gel batteries.

Can be used for RV, motor home, caravan, boat & solar power storage use.

A normal 12v 150Ah battery will give 45Ah (Usable Daily Cycle) at 30% DOD, however our battery will give you a full 100Ah worth of power at it's 100% DOD rating & still out lasts the 12v 150Ah battery while delivering more usable daily cycle storage ability.

Please read our detailed Blog Post Here which tells you the advantages of our lead-carbon batteries compared against Lithium, Lead Acid and Gel batteries.

You can read a great short independant article about this technology and HOW IT COMPARES against existing Lead Acid, Gel and AGM technology here.

We have other larger Lead Carbon SuperCapacitor solar storage battery options available offering 14.4kWh (and more) and we also have lithium battery options available too, if you are interested please contact us for more info.

This battery technology is very similar to the Ecoult Ultrabattery (Ultra Capacitor) technology in that they're both built using Lead Carbon battery technology, except at a more affordable price and in smaller capacities which better suit NZ solar storage usage.
