RV / Motorhome / Caravan / Van - Freedom Camping Ultimate Solar Package 1

1 x 240w PERC MONO +N-TO (Tunnel Oxide) Solar Panel (Black Frame) 1580mm long x 700mm wide (Designed by Hitek Solar NZ) with Bifacial double sided power collection (including rear side power collection ability) for ultimate NZ condition + low light collection performance.  More power output during overcast days, cloudy days, diffused light days, rainy days especially during Autumn, Winter & Spring periods.   Far superior to conventional PERC MONO solar panels or PERC MONO BIFACIAL (P-Type) panels.

1 x 12v 120Ah Lead Carbon battery (ultimate sealed deep cycle battery with long life)

1 x 20Amp MPPT Charge Controller with built in LCD display + pre-set lead carbon charge profile + read time battery temp compensation (auto compensate for charging when the battery is hot / cold etc + help prevents over-charging + extends battery life) based on actual battery temp.
We can offer an upgrade option to our 30A and 40A controllers (contact us if this is of interest to you).

1 x Amp 2P Solar PV DC Breaker + Mounting Enclosure

10m x 4mm Twin Core Solar PV DC Cable

1 x DC Battery Breaker + link cable to attach to battery terminal.

1 x MC4 connector set (to plug solar dc cable into panel)

1 x Roof Top panel mounting kit (for 1 panel above)

1 x 2m DC cable set (from MPPT to the batteries)

Note: You can upgrade to 2 x 12v 120Ah Lead Carbon batteries (to give 12v 240Ah total capacity), or you can upgrade to even to some of our 12v LFP Lithium batteries for extra cost if you wanted.  These upgrade options are additional cost, please contact us for pricing on these upgrade options.  Lithium sizes we offer are 12v 100Ah, 12v 120Ah, 12v 130Ah, 12v 200Ah, 24v 60Ah and 24v 130Ah.

12v 120Ah Lead Carbon Battery Specs:

Size: 342mm long x 175mm width / deep x 215mm height.
Max charge current: 12v 30A
Constant charge current: 12v 30A
Terminal: M8 copper
Technology: AGM VRLA Pure Pb-C Lead Carbon

Depth of Discharge (DOD) cycle count for this Lead Carbon SuperCapacitor (LCS) battery:

1200+ cycles at 70% Discharge capacity
1600+ cycles at 50% Discharge capacity
2400+ cycles at 30% Discharge capacity

What makes this battery so advanced & much better than typical deep cycle batteries available?

Most "Deep Cycle" batteries are rated to be used between 20-50% DOD (Depth of Discharge) & if you run the battery does to 100% DOD (eg fully flat) then the battery will soon fail.
With a normal deep cycle battery they will usually give 150 cycles at 80% DOD & 500 cycles at 50% DOD.

This latest technology battery is different in that it will give 1200 cycles at 70% DOD and 1600+ cycles at 50% DOD.

This battery is also far superior to a 12v 100Ah Lead Crystal / Solar Lead Crystal battery, and as such can charge with a much LOWER charge current (even as low as just 2Amps charge current) and yet can charge up to full charge in a faster time + offers MORE charge cycles + lower internal resistance also.

A deep cycle Lead Acid, AGM or GEL battery (in fact even your average car, truck, fork lift or solar battery) all end up failing due to sulphation. This is not possible to avoiding with traditional lead acid batteries (even sealed ones), instead our latest battery uses a lead positive plate and a carbon nano-style negative plate that does NOT suffer from the same sulphation problems that existing batteries suffer from.

A normal battery has a typical rated design life of up to around 3-5 years, however this battery has a rated max design life of up to 20 years, so typically this battery will last you around 200-300% more cycles than typical existing deep cycle lead acid, flooded, agm or gel batteries.

Can be used for RV, motor home, caravan, boat & solar power storage use.

Please read our detailed Blog Post Here which tells you the advantages of our lead-carbon batteries compared against Lithium, Lead Acid and Gel batteries.

You can read a great short independant article about this technology and HOW IT COMPARES against existing Lead Acid, Gel and AGM technology here.
